Air Doctor Description

Air Doctor connects travelers to local private doctors when they fall ill abroad, preventing unnecessary, often frustrating, and potentially expensive hospital visits and reducing pressure on emergency care. At the same time, it provides an additional revenue stream for local medical practitioners and reduces claims costs for insurers.

The Air Doctor app connects travelers with the most appropriate doctor for their needs – from a global network of more than 20,000 comprehensively-vetted practitioners that spans 75 countries and includes GPs, pediatricians, dentists, ophthalmologists, dermatologists, gynecologists, and orthopedic specialists as standard – to set up an online or in-person

consultation.

Founded in Israel in 2016, Air Doctor has raised $30.9 million in venture funding to date, through a $3.1 million seed round in 2018, $7.8 million in 2020, and most recently $20 million in 2022 – closing the round A series – which was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Other investors include Vintage Investment Partners, Munich Re Ventures, Kamet Ventures, and The Phoenix, one of Israel’s leading insurance companies.

Jenny spent more than 20 years at Intel, most recently as a general manager of its manufacturing facility in Israel and before that in various engineering and manufacturing roles in Silicon Valley. Air Doctor is her second startup, having previously founded electric vehicle company, ElectRoad.

Efrat Sagi-Ofir

Founder & COO

Air Doctor is Efrat’s second startup, having previously founded the cleantech company, Sun Effect. She began her career in industrial engineering at Intel, before a spell leading supply chain management at BetterPlace, an electric vehicle network and services provider. In 2020, she was a top-5 finalist and People’s Choice winner in Quesney’s Female Founders in InsurTech competition in recognition of her work with Air Doctor.

Yegor Kurbachev
